Trinity Sunday, 22 May, will be the last Sunday that our present locum, the Revd. Roger Wikeley, will be with us. This has been the fourth time since 2013 that he has served our church in Strasbourg and we are very grateful to him for his ministry.
On Sunday 29 May the Revd. John Murray will celebrate the Eucharist and on the following Sunday, 5 June, we shall be welcoming as our next locum the Revd. Chris Martin, former Anglican chaplain in Lyon, and his wife Sue, who will be with us until the end of July.
The Revd. John Murray will act as locum for the months of August and September, and the Revd. Christine Bloomfield will take over for the months of October, November and December. We very much appreciate their continuing dedicated ministry to St. Alban’s.
It is over three years now since our last Priest-in-Charge left and we hope and pray that an appointment may at last be made before this year is over. There are a great many vacancies for Priests-in-charge in the Diocese in Europe, and they cannot all be advertised at the same time. However, we hope that by the autumn St. Alban’s post may be advertised and applicants be forthcoming. All the more grateful are we to all our locums who so ably have ensured that St. Alban’s continues to flourish.
